Night Vision Monocular price

Im a police officer looking for a reasonably priced night vision monocular for surv. ...let me know what would be good to use and also im purchasing for myself but i wanna get the best model for cheapest....so what kind of models have you guys used and what was your reaction?

not to shoot you down but if you work in a city it probably won't do you a lot of good due to light pollution.what that means is that if there are street lights or any other lighting in the area all you are going to see is blinding light.they(night vision devices) are not very effective in an urban environment.however the do very well in the rural because of the lack of artificial lighting. if you do purchase a devise be sure to get something that is gen 3 or better less than that and you will have trouble ID-ing things.i have worked extensively with the an/pvs-7(biocular) and an/pvs -14(monocular) and i know both work great.my preferance is the an/pvs-14 because it allows you to gage distance a little better.night vision devices don't allow any depth persepsion so haveing one eye with out it helps,especially when driving.

I am looking for a decent night vision system, most likely a monocular because they seem the cheapest. I want to get something that is worth having and reliable, however I would rather not spend tons of money. What is a good reliable night vision device that can be had for a decent price? I intend to use it for coyote hunting.

what ever is on sale, the technology is so common now that good ones are available for under 100 bucks...be careful and be safe. PS, a spotlight works better for yotes, but do your own thing...

Hello : ) A question about night vision: I would really appreciate it if the people who answer this have actual experience or knowlege about night vision. (sorry, just bad experiences with some answers.) My mom and I are looking to get my dad night vision binoculars or a monocular for Christmas, and we are stumped. Price range would be probably $225-250 dollars tops. I know this isn't going to buy the best or anything, but I'd like to get something good for the money. There are soo many online. I was looking at a Bushnell night vision monocular for like 175, and a National Geographic one for about the same. Any suggestions? Thanks so much!! : )
